40-METER VESSEL PAINT WORKS

During the first quarter of 2023, Marine Services One undertook one of its biggest projects to date, a professional paint job on a 40-meter vessel, showcasing its expertise and efficiency. The project was successfully completed by the second quarter. The team employed meticulous surface preparation, including sanding and cleaning, to ensure a smooth and even base for the paint. They then applied high-quality marine-grade coating that not only enhanced the vessel’s appearance but also provided long-lasting protection against harsh marine conditions.

Silicone Removal

STAGE 1

The team begins cutting and removing silicone from any joints, ensuring a thorough and precise process that leaves no trace behind.

Installation of internal protection

STAGE 2

Installation of internal protection for furniture, floor, etc., to enhance the durability and longevity of the elements in the space.

Teak Decking Removal

STAGE 3

Teak Decking is removed.

Dismantling

STAGE 4

Dismantling and removing of items (domes, antennas, search lights, buttons, rub rail, anchor etc.)

Sanding the Hull

STAGE 5

Long board sanding was done in the yacht's hull.

Installation of Scaffolding

STAGE 6

Installation of Scaffolding was done.

Preparation of Tent

STAGE 7

Double-Shrink-wrapping procedure occurred.

Installation of AC and Equipment

STAGE 8

Air Conditioning, Blowers, Lighting, Cabling of power lines, and Pneumatic hose lines were installed.

Sanding the Hull

STAGE 9

Filling cracks found during sanding with fillers.

Washing the Hull

STAGE 10

The team washes the vessel to remove dust and debris.

Reinstallation of internal protection

STAGE 11

Remasking and reprotection of glass, passage areas, flooring, wood area etc.

Application of Primer

STAGE 12

Primer application was done in this stage.

Sanding Process continues

STAGE 13

Primer Sanding continues.

Application of top coat

STAGE 14

Top Coat Application (2-3 coats as per AwlGrip application procedure)

Sanding Process continues & Polishing

STAGE 15

Sanding Process continues followed by Polishing.

Uninstallation of Scaffolding

STAGE 16

Scaffolding Removal is done.

Refitting all items back

STAGE 17

Refitting back all items to complete the job.

Paint Works Completed
