The Legendary Riva Aquariva is a 30 ft. yacht that came to Marine Services One for its annual anti-fouling service requirement. It took the MS1 team five days to have the yacht back in her mint condition and ensure that the anti-fouling service had been executed with precision and excellence.
The hull of the yacht was pressure washed to remove the barnacles and marine growth under the hull.
This was done with grid 120 & 80 sanding paper until the old anti-fouling was removed and the hull was stripped back to its gel coat.
The hull was washed with fresh water to remove any dust particles.
1 coat of primer was applied by hand with a paint roller which took 8 hours to cure.
Light sanding was done, and the area was cleaned with acetone for bounding purposes.
One coat of Marine Sealant was added by hand with a paint roller which took 8 hours to cure.
Light sanding was done again, and the area was cleaned with acetone tone for bounding purposes.
Two coats of Black Anti-fouling paint were added to the hull of the yacht by hand and were semi-dried a few hours before the yacht had to go back into the water.
